The aim of this book is to provide an easy to understand yet detailed description of Embedded Systems along with the required knowledge about the various embedded systems and programming languages. It starts with the most basic of the embedded systems and then move to the highly complex, real time systems. The topics of the book are presented in an easy to understand manner using flow charts and small, sample codes. The book concludes with a brief description of the career options and a list of various online resources that can be used.
The author also provides a free software license that can be downloaded from The download contains the license and the chapters 1-18 of the book. In addition, the author provides a copy of the book along with the soft copy.
I have read this book in a few weeks and I am not the best reviewer. I am not a reviewer at all. It is not my profession. But I read this book because, my need to read a very technical book that is more interesting than boring academic books.

The author presents the book in a manner that can be read easily by the beginners and even by the experienced embedded programmers. The book includes the initial chapters of the embedded systems, such as introduction, control of the system, data structures, storage, control flow, interrupts and communication. It then moves on to the more advanced topics such as operating systems, real time operating systems, safety issues, real time scheduling and real time scheduling algorithms and performance analysis. The book also includes chapters on the basics of the programming languages such as C, C++, Assembly, PC assembly, embedded assembly and Ada.
The book includes several examples of the various topics. The examples are written in simple English and are just enough for the beginner. But they are enough to give the reader a good idea of the concepts. I have read all the
