But it won't acknowledge my serial number and tells me each time I have one less download left. Windows 10 BTW and have only just bought the NotePerformer software. Please show us a screen-shot of whatever is asking you for a serial number. The reason I uninstalled it was because the playback is so unsatisfactory - it doesn't recognise changes in technique at the right time - if it says pizz it will only do that a bar or so later. I spent a lot of time trying to work it out, but then thought I would reinstal it and see if that worked. BTW I am, of course, using the proper shortcuts for the technical instructions. You're limited to requesting new links every X days (for email security reasons) and this is probably what you're seeing. But our download links remain active for a longer period than this. So if you can't request new links, it's because you already have a download email in your inbox, with active links that should still be working. You never need to enter your serial number anywhere, it's just an activation code used at the original purchase!If pizz. isn't triggered at the right time, try moving the technique to the left. I did finally manage to get sibelius and NP3 going again, but NP3 is not only not responding at the right time (or at all sometimes) to technique, but it also doesn't play in time. I mean it actually judders, and races. I can't just move the technique to the left - often players go straight from arco to pizz and vice versa, and there is only one note you can put it over. Unless there is a rest, then it could be confusing putting it earlier. I am writing for performers, the playback is only ever for my benefit at home. I feel that something is competing or obstructing NP3, but having lost a day's work trying to sort it out, I'm feeling a bit defeated. If it's Macafee you would be better off using something else.If it could be your AV software, you should have a setting somewhere in your UI that allows you to tell it to ignore specific folders/programs. You can add Sibelius and all its associated folders/files to that list.Have you turned off all the live playback options, and are you playing it with the inspector open? Could there be any text in your file that is being interpreted to cause the problem (tempo/style markings that include words like Waltz, valse, swing etc - even as part of a compound word will affect playback.Unless there is something else gobbling your RAM, there should be few issues with NP. As Robin says, check what is running in the background.
